Prime Day offers are no longer just a one-day event. In the past, it may have been a quick 24-hour affair, but for now it works for two days. Prime Day 2022 is the 12th and 13th of July this year, which means 48 hours to check out the best deals around all sorts of things including the most sought after technologies and devices. But, will there be another Prime Day event this year? Sources think it is possible. Let’s take a look at what we know so far.
Will there be another Main Day in the Fall?
According to Business Insider and CNBC, Amazon plans to launch a new shopping event later this year. Presumably, the event will be called Prime Fall Deal Event.
Amazon has been messageing sellers recently, asking them to send special advertising offers for the event, reports Business Insider. Those deals? The favorite Light Offers of all that tend to be short, sharp deals that last only for a limited time.
Some sellers were asked to send in their bids before July 22, while others were given a deadline of September 2. The full message says – “Send recommended Lightning Deals for Prime Fall Deal Event Week for a chance to choose your deal for Prime Fall. Deal Event!”
It is not yet clear when the Prime Fall Deal Event will take place, or even if the name will remain the same. All we know is that it will be autumn. Some vendors told Business Insider they believe it will take place in October. Last year, Amazon held a separate beauty sales event in October. It could also take place in October ahead of the traditional Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday shopping.
La Wall Street Journal recently reported that sales growth for Prime Day has slowed with high inflation and changing habits to blame consumers. A new sales event in October could be exactly what Amazon needs to boost its sales figures.
