The 2022 Super Bowl featured a parade of commercials for companies in the crypto industry. While the majority advertised exchange platforms, one slot was reserved for a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
DAOs are community-led organizations that share common goals, from making profitable investments to building effective products.
Instead of leaders making decisions, DAOs are administered by their members and governed by rules that are forced on a blockchain . For more details on how they work, check out our explanation here.
DAOs can be used for a wide range of purposes.
PleaserDAO, for example, bought the only copy of an unreleased Wu-Tang Clan album while FarintoDAO maintains and regulates the stability of Dai.
As for the Super Bowl announcement, members of the DAO Nouns voted on proposal present the brand’s NFT in Bud Light commercial.
If you are interested in joining DAO, here are some tips to get you started:

DAOs are very mission-driven. Your personal passions and expertise should play a key role in which organization you join.
2. Find a DAO that fits your goals
DAOs are extremely diverse. You could try to find out DAOlist and DeepDAO find one with goals that match your interests.
Most will have some form of charter or mission statement outlining their goals, guidelines. and domination. These can give you an idea of what to expect and how you can contribute.
3. Join the community
You will get a better sense of the culture of DAO by participating in the community.

4. Get involved
DAOs are especially popular for developers, but they can benefit from a range of other skills, from project management to design.

5. Be careful
DAO has unique advantages and appeals. They can provide democratized governance, transparency, pooled resources and the opportunity to make a real impact – and cash.
On the other hand, there is the possibility of losing money and that code will go wrong
But if they keep their promise, maybe someday DAO will lead a team at the Super Bowl rather than just advertise there.
